It is with great enthusiasm that
American Humanics and the
Nonprofit Workforce Coalition support the nomination of Patrick Corvington to lead the Corporation for National and Community Service. Patrick is a key thought leader in the nonprofit capacity building space and is uniquely qualified to lead the Corporation through the expansion of national service and developing a deeper connection to the nonprofit sector.
Patrick's leadership is evident as a founding board member of the Nonprofit Workforce Coalition where he has served for two years. In this capacity, Patrick helped develop the strategic vision for the Coalition around recruitment and retention of the next generation of nonprofit sector leadership.
In his role at the
Annie E. Casey Foundation, Patrick provides direct support for the
Young Nonprofit Professionals Network and served as a researcher and co-author on such reports as
Ready to Lead and
Stepping Up or Stepping Out; in addition, he collaborated on a number of reports with the
Building Movement Project on succession planning. Patrick has been involved in almost all of the recent research that is currently informing leadership development capacity building and other issues impacting the next generation nonprofit workforce.
As we usher in a new era of service in America, we are confident in Patrick's ability to lead the Corporation's efforts to positively impact the immediate and future needs of our country. The Board of Directors and Staff of American Humanics and the Nonprofit Workforce Coalition congratulate Patrick on his achievement and look forward to continuing our partnership with the Corporation to carry out this important work.
