Take Action

You can help American Humanics grow and help expand nonprofit work force education by taking action!

               Campus Program Development
Talk to Career Services Professionals at your local college of university to educate them about careers in the nonprofit sector, and how AH can assist them in learning more through ”A Call to Serve” held annually in conjunction with AHMI.

               AHMI
Watch for volunteer opportunities available at AHMI for AH alumni.  Interested in submitting a workshop RFP for AHMI 2010 Phoenix?  Click here for more info.  RFP submission deadline is June 1, 2009.

                  Recruitment
Talk to high school students about careers in the nonprofit sector.
Sign-up to speak at a local Young Nonprofit Professionals (www.ynpn.org) event and share about AH with your local network of nonprofit peers
Assist AH with conference exhibits at regional and national conferences.  (If you keep your contact info updated, AH will contact you when we need local assistance.)

                Personal and Professional Development
Write a letter to your national nonprofit CEO telling them about AH and how meaningful your experience has been and how it has made you a more successful leader with that organization

Connect with fellow alumni at regional and national conferences for your organization or nonprofit professionals organizations (i.e. AFP).

         Internship Development
Advocate for AH students at your nonprofit organization when an internship position is available.  Ensure that your organization receives consistently effective interns by developing a relationship with the closest AH-affiliated campus.
