June 22-23 & July 23-24 - Next Steps "Succession Planning in a Tough Economy" (San Francisco, CA & Baltimore, MD)   A workshop for founders and long-term executives of nonprofit organizations.

Independent Sector is the leadership forum for charities, foundations, and corporate giving programs committed to advancing the common good in America and around the world.

November 19-21 – Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (Cleveland, OH)
Each year, ARNOVA holds an annual conference which brings together researchers, scholars, and practitioners from around the world to present and discuss papers related to issues in nonprofit studies, voluntary action, and philanthropy. This cutting-edge research presented at the conference helps build the body of knowledge about the sector and inform those working in the nonprofit sector. Members receive a reduced conference registration rate.


2010                                                                                                                            

January 3-6 – American Humanics Management Institute (Phoenix, AZ)
The American Humanics Management Institute is an intensive educational symposium designed for college students, faculty members, nonprofit partners, volunteers and AmeriCorps members with a commitment to service.
The Coalition will present the following sessions:

  • Nonprofit Sector Research and Recent Findings
  • A Call To Serve: Connecting College Students to Nonprofit Sector Careers for university career services professionals
  • HR Council Meeting

July 8-10 – General Assembly of YMCA’s (Salt Lake City, UT)

Held once every four years, this premier YMCA celebration will take place at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Approximately 5,000 senior YMCA staff and volunteers, representing the decision-makers of America’s YMCAs and top corporations, are expected to attend.

 

October 17-19 – Independent Sector National Conference (Atlanta, GA)
