What is AH AmeriCorps*ProCorps?
AH AmeriCorps*ProCorps (ProCorps) is an AmeriCorps initiative administered by American Humanics that places students and alumni of AH-affiliated campuses in paid AmeriCorps positions as volunteer coordinators and/or at-risk youth workers. AH ProCorps members can serve in full-time (1700 hours), half-time (900 hours), or quarter-time (450 hours) positions and earn an AmeriCorps Education Award of up to $4,725.
Organizations that serve as Host Sites for AH ProCorps members can benefit from the opportunity to employ AH students and alumni with the passion, skills and knowledge to work within the nonprofit sector.
AH ProCorps members will join the ranks of 500,000 other dedicated individuals who serve their fellow citizens through a variety of AmeriCorps programs such as VISTA and the National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC). They will learn teamwork, communication, responsibility, and other essential skills that will help prepare them for a career in the nonprofit sector.
