The American Humanics Management/Leadership Institutesm (AHMI) is an intensive national convening of college students, alumni, Campus/Executive Directors, faculty members, nonprofit workforce partners, nonprofit professionals, nonprofit HR executives, volunteers and AmeriCorps members. This national network provides AHMI participants access to the leading minds and practitioners in the nonprofit sector. AHMI is designed not simply as a student’s capstone but as a professional development and networking conference. The Institute is also an opportunity for students to make a lasting impression on their peers and potential employers.
Established by American Humanics® (AH) in 1973, AHMI provides the nation’s leading experience in nonprofit management and leadership education. Local and national nonprofit leaders present issues pertinent to the profession and engage participants through plenaries, workshops, forums, roundtables, and case studies. The expanded AHMI Placement Services allow local and national nonprofit executives to interview AH students for internships, fellowships, and professional positions and to share their wisdom pertaining to student resumes, interviewing skills, job search strategies and career paths within the nonprofit sector. The unique, interactive format of the Institute exposes the next generation of nonprofit leaders to the realistic experiences of a nonprofit organization.
American Humanics is the only national organization with an undergraduate and graduate program and national placement services focused on nonprofit workforce and nonprofit pipeline—preparing the next generation of nonprofit leaders.
