AHMI Placement Services

Where can you go to interact with over 600 mission-focused future nonprofit leaders?

AHMI Placement Services is designed to bring national, regional, and local nonprofit organizations with job and internship openings together with over 600 American Humanics mission-focused students who are seeking internships and employment within the nonprofit sector. Over 70 different AH college campuses will be represented, as well as graduate programs, and national and local nonprofit partners. Participants will have the opportunity to interview and network with hundreds of AH students and diverse nonprofit agencies ranging from the largest national nonprofits to local Indiana service providers.  

Benefits to Nonprofit Organizations:

  • Interview a diverse pool of talented future nonprofit leaders from across the country in one location for one low cost.
  • Hire students who have the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for immediate internships or full time employment in the nonprofit sector.
  • Interact and meet over 600 mission-driven oriented students or recent grads.

Benefits to Participating Students:

  • Interview for an internship or job at the local, regional, and national level.
  • Gain valuable interviewing experience and guidance with the career process.
  • Network with many nonprofit leaders and organizations at different levels.

How to Register for Placement Services

  • Nonprofits: The cost for employees of AH-affiliated organizations is $175 and the cost for employees of non-AH-affiliated organizations is $200.  Register by November 14, 2008. Click Here to Register

New to AHMI this yearCareer Coaching

Career Coaching sessions are designed to give students one-on-one support in career development that will help further their career. Each half hour session is led by a nonprofit or career service professional and will give students and alumni the opportunity to have their resume reviewed, practice interview skills and make connections within the nonprofit sector.

  • Students who participate in a Career Coaching session will have a competitive edge when seeking a job.
  • Nonprofit or career service professionals who participate as volunteers will have additional opportunities to interact with this talented pool of future leaders.

How to participate in Career Coaching:

  • Volunteers: We need Career Coaching session volunteers. If you would like to volunteer to be a Career Coach (Career Coaching is held throughout AHMI and volunteer times are flexible), please select that option on the registration page.
