Nonprofit Workforce Coalition

Coalition Year One Evaluation
Initiative for Nonprofit Sector Careers > Coalition Year One Evaluation

In late 2006 American Humanics commissioned an evaluation of the Coalition’s first year of work.   Graduate students at the Wagner School at NYU performed comprehensive surveys and interviews with members and nonmembers of the Coalition to gauge the progress and perceived impact of our work.  Their findings, initially shared last month at an event held at the Mutual of America headquarters in New York City, will also be shared during the May 24 Full Coalition Conference Call.  We invite Coalition members to participate and contribute to the direction of the Coalition.  The full report can be found HERE.

The coalition is adopting the following approaches as an outcome of the evaluation's findings:

  • The coalition will be holding a meeting to discuss a formalized governance structure for the coalition.
  • In 2007-2008, the coalition will be focusing on transitioning the committees' strategic plans into action plans.  The coalition is also increasing communication regarding the committees by posting their updates and call reports on their respective websites.  To learn more about the Workforce Diversity Committee click HERE, and for the Student Debt Committee click HERE.
  • The coalition will be seeking to increase the participation of the at-large members.
